What Exactly Is Bioremediation?

As said before, Bioremediation is the use of microbes to detoxify or degrade pollutants . There are two different types of bioremediation, in situ and ex situ.  In situ is cleaning up on the spot while ex situ is taking the contaminated matter and taking it to a facility to get it treated. When dealing with oil spills, in situ bioremediation is the better option.
